What is MyDailyPlanner?
MyDailyPlanner is a Chrome browser extension — a daily productivity planner that helps you manage tasks with priority levels (High, Medium, Low), track habits and streaks, time your focus sessions, set daily goals, write daily notes, and record daily reflections. All data is stored locally on your device.
This Privacy Policy explains exactly how the extension handles your information. The short answer: it doesn't handle your information at all externally — everything stays on your device.
We collect nothing
MyDailyPlanner does not collect any personal data. Below is a complete inventory of what we do and do not collect:
What stays on your device
The only data that exists is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your browser.
You can delete all this data at any time: Stats tab → Data Backup → Export, or uninstall the extension to remove everything.
Why we request each permission
MyDailyPlanner requests only one permission:
Used exclusively to save your tasks, habits, goals, notes, reflections, streaks, focus sessions, and settings locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. No data leaves your device. This is the minimum permission required for any productivity planner to persist data between browser sessions.
MyDailyPlanner does not request tabs, activeTab, history, bookmarks, notifications, alarms, scripting, or any host permissions. We deliberately use the absolute minimum required.
Zero third-party involvement

- No analytics services (no Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar)
- No advertising networks or tracking pixels
- No crash reporting services that transmit data externally
- No external APIs of any kind
- No cloud sync or backup services
- No data brokers or data marketplaces
- No sale, rental, or transfer of data to any outside party for any reason
All code ships in the package
MyDailyPlanner does not load or execute any remote code. Every line of JavaScript is included in the extension package. We do not use external <script> tags, dynamic eval(), or WebAssembly from external sources.
Safe for all ages
MyDailyPlanner does not knowingly collect data from anyone — including children under the age of 13. Since the extension collects no personal data from any user, it poses no specific risk to minors.
How we handle updates
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and publish the updated version at this same URL. Since MyDailyPlanner collects no data and has no user accounts, we have no way to notify users by email.
